It took one game for people to second-guess the football team.

It took one game for that to change.

CMU began its home and conference season on a strong note with a 52-31 win over Toledo on Saturday in front of 22,031 fans at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

The Chippewas improved in almost every aspect from their eye-opening 52-7 loss at Kansas last week, giving Butch Jones his first win as a head coach.
