Playground fix-up one of 10 city improvement activities

Kids who play at Island Park's timber town play area will not be complaining about the color of the wood anytime soon.

About 35 students stained the wooded playground as one of 10 different activities for “Be My Neighbor Day” on Saturday. The CMU Volunteer Center organized the day-long service event to give students the chance help neighbors all over Mount Pleasant.
