MAC to play ACC in GMAC Bowl

A football team from the Mid-American Conference is scheduled to play a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference in a bowl game for the first time ever.

GMAC Bowl President Jerry Silverstein announced last week the bowl has the ninth pick of bowl-eligible ACC schools slated to play the first pick of bowl-eligible schools in the MAC, most likely the conference champion.
