Alumni contributions nearly halved

Contributions to Central Michigan University are down by $1 million from last year.

According to a university report, the contributions in 2008 were $1,560,108, which is down from $2,883,794 in 2007.

At the Board of Trustees meeting Thursday, University President Michael Rao said he will spend more time fundraising in 2009.
